How the booking process works
Every rental booking on Qloxet moves through the same clear stages, whether you're renting or lending.
1. Request or Instant Book
The renter requests dates. For Instant Book listings, this confirms immediately. For Request to Book listings, the owner has 24 hours to accept or decline.
2. Payment held in escrow
Once confirmed, the renter pays the rental fee plus security deposit. Both are held in escrow and not released to the owner yet.
3. Handover
Owner and renter meet (or arrange delivery), both take condition photos, and both confirm handover in the app. This starts the rental period.
4. Return
At the end of the rental period, the item is returned. Both sides confirm the return and its condition. If there's no dispute, the deposit is released back to the renter.
5. Payout & reviews
The rental fee (minus platform commission) is released to the owner. Both parties can then leave a review of each other.
