Instant Book vs. Request to Book

Two ways a booking can be confirmed on Qloxet, and when to use each.

Reading time: ~2 min·Bookings & Rentals

Instant Book

The booking confirms the moment a renter selects dates and pays, with no waiting for your approval. This works well for owners who trust the platform's verification and want to maximize bookings, since renters strongly prefer not waiting for a response.

Request to Book

The renter sends a request, and you have 24 hours to accept or decline before it expires. Useful for higher-value items where you want to review the renter's profile, verification level, and message them first.

Which should you choose?

Instant Book listings typically get booked faster and rank slightly higher in search, since renters can filter by it. Request to Book gives you more control but means slower conversions and the risk of expired requests if you're not responsive.

You can change this anytime

This setting lives on your listing's edit page and can be switched at any time. It only affects future booking requests, not ones already confirmed.
