Handover & condition photos
The single most important habit for avoiding disputes, on both sides of a booking.
No condition photos, no protection
If a dispute arises and neither side took handover photos, it becomes your word against theirs. Always photograph, every time.
Before handover
Photograph the item from all angles: scratches, dents, screen condition, tyre wear, accessories included, anything relevant to its condition. Do this in good lighting.
Confirm in the app
Both the owner and renter must confirm handover in the app before the rental period officially starts. This timestamp matters if a dispute ever needs to be resolved.
At return, repeat the process
Take fresh photos at return time before handing the item back. Comparing return photos against handover photos is exactly how the platform's dispute team resolves disagreements about new damage.
If you skip this step
Bookings can still be confirmed without photos, but skipping this step significantly weakens your position if the other party disputes the item's condition later.
