What happens when a booking is cancelled before it starts, from either side.

Renter cancels before handover
If you cancel before the item has been handed over, your payment is refunded according to how close to the start date you cancel. Cancelling well in advance gets a fuller refund than cancelling last-minute.
Owner cancels a confirmed booking
If an owner cancels a confirmed booking, the renter is fully refunded automatically. Frequent cancellations from an owner affect their standing and search ranking.
After handover has happened
Once a booking has moved into the handover stage, it's no longer a "cancellation." Any issue from that point is handled through the return process or, if needed, a dispute.
How to cancel
Open the booking from My Bookings and select cancel. You'll see the exact refund amount before confirming.
