Setting the right price
How to price your listing to stay competitive while earning what it's worth.
Research similar listings
Search for comparable items already listed near you before setting your price. This keeps you competitive and helps you understand what renters in your area expect to pay.
Set hourly, daily, and weekly rates
You can price by the hour, day, or week. Offer a weekly rate that's discounted compared to 7× your daily rate to encourage longer bookings, which reduce the handover overhead for you.
Set a fair security deposit
The deposit should cover realistic repair or replacement cost if the item is damaged, not the full value of the item. A deposit that's too high discourages bookings.
Commission is deducted automatically
Qloxet takes a platform commission from each completed booking before your payout, so factor this into your pricing rather than being surprised at payout time.
Adjust based on demand
If your listing gets booked out quickly at your current price, it's a sign you can raise it. If it's sitting unbooked for weeks, try lowering the price or improving your photos first.
